While you as the author of the thesis hold the copyright to your work, Erasmus University does require the PhD thesis to be made publicly accessible within 3 months of the defense ceremony.

Under the Doctoral Regulations, article 6.5 sub 6a, the Library will post the entire thesis on the internet (in this case through Pure) as soon as possible after the defense ceremony.

It is possible to place parts of your PhD thesis under a temporary embargo. An embargo for a period exceeding 2 years will require permission from the Rector Magnificus. To request an embargo exceeding 2 years, contact the Beadle’s Office

You are required to upload a Consent Form within Hora Finita. Here you can indicate which (if any) parts of your PhD thesis must be placed under an embargo and what the duration of the embargo is. This Consent Form informs the University Library about any embargo.
