All researchers at Erasmus University and Erasmus Medical Center are asked to make their short scientific work Open Access, either by publishing in an Open Access journal or by depositing a version of their work in the institutional repository, Pure.

Short scientific work are made publicly available in the institutional repository 6 months after publication, in the publisher's version. If an author does not wish the publisher's version to be made public, an opt-out can be requested and the final author's version can be made available instead.

Most research funding organizations, including NOW, ZonMw and the European Commission, require publications resulting from their grants to be published Open Access.
